SYNOPSIS

A hand-built desktop organizer created as an early assignment in RISD’s Design Principles I core course. Constructed entirely without machining, the project emphasized form exploration, spatial organization, and craftsmanship through purely manual methods. Deskscape reflects foundational design thinking in balancing function with aesthetic clarity.

Ideations

Early sketches tested shelves, clamps, and modular compartments, aiming to reduce desk clutter, assign homes for tools, and explore both functional and organic forms
